5 Days – Jungle Trekking & Elephant Sanctuary

Day 1: Airport / Medan – Bukit Lawang Our driver will pick you up at Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) and take you on a scenic 3–4 hour drive to Bukit Lawang, passing through lush landscapes and local villages. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to unwind by the river.

Day 2: 2-Day Jungle Trekking (Day 1) After a 9:00 AM briefing, we enter the Gunung Leuser National Park. Your expert guide will lead you through the rainforest, identifying local flora and fauna. Enjoy a picnic lunch of Indonesian fried rice and fresh tropical fruits. We continue trekking to spot wild orangutans and other wildlife before settling into our campsite. Enjoy a riverside swim, a campfire dinner, and an unforgettable night in the jungle.

Day 3: 2-Day Jungle Trekking (Day 2) After breakfast, we spend 2–3 hours exploring the area around the campsite or observing wildlife. We’ll visit a hidden waterfall before enjoying a “jungle-style” lunch. To end our expedition, we take a traditional tube rafting ride down the river back to your hotel.

Day 4: Bukit Lawang – Tangkahan Elephant Sanctuary After a 9:30 AM pickup, we drive to Tangkahan (approx. 2 hours). En route, we’ll pass vast oil palm plantations with stunning panoramic views. Arriving at noon, we’ll enjoy lunch before heading to the river for a swim or a soak in the natural hot springs. We’ll explore beautiful river waterfalls and visit the “Butterfly Beach,” where you can witness thousands of colorful butterflies. At 3:30 PM, we join the daily elephant bathing session—an ethical, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Day 5: Transfer to Medan / Airport On your final day, we transfer you back to your hotel in Medan or Kualanamu Airport (KNO) for your departure.
