6 Days – Sumatra Paradise

Day 1: Arrival in Medan / Airport to Bukit Lawang Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Medan or Kualanamu Airport (KNO). We then take a 4-hour drive to Bukit Lawang by private AC car. Once you arrive and check into your hotel, the rest of the day is free for leisure—relax, go for a swim in the river, or take a beautiful walk around the local village.

Day 2: 2-Day Jungle Trekking (Day 1) After breakfast at 9:00 AM, we start our expedition. You will receive a briefing before entering the Gunung Leuser National Park. Our expert guide will explain the wonders of the rainforest and the local wildlife. We will stop for a picnic lunch featuring Indonesian fried rice and a variety of tropical fruits (pineapple, watermelon, banana, orange, passion fruit). We continue trekking to spot the Sumatran Orangutan (pongo abelii) and other jungle inhabitants before arriving at our campsite. You can bathe in the river, enjoy tea/coffee, and after a delicious dinner, we can play interactive group games or enjoy a campfire. If the weather is clear, we might even go fishing in the river before retiring for the night.

Day 3: 2-Day Jungle Trekking (Day 2) After a jungle breakfast, we spend 4–5 hours exploring the area around our camp or relaxing by the riverside to observe wildlife. We visit a hidden jungle waterfall and enjoy a refreshing “jungle-style” noodle soup and fruit salad lunch. After lunch, we return to Bukit Lawang by traditional tube rafting—a fun and iconic way to end your jungle journey. The rest of the day is free for leisure.

Day 4: Lake Toba & Samosir Island (Via Berastagi) After breakfast, we depart for Lake Toba. Along the way, we pass through Berastagi and stop at the famous Fruit Market. We then head towards the magnificent Sipiso-piso waterfall. We arrive at Lake Toba in the afternoon, cross the lake to Samosir Island, and check in to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 5: Samosir Island Cultural Tour After breakfast, we start our tour around the cultural heart of Samosir. We visit Ambarita village, then proceed to Simanindo to explore the Batak Museum and enjoy a traditional Batak dance performance at 10:30 AM. After the show, we visit local villages to see how traditional ulos (sarongs/blankets) are made. You can stop for a lunch break before heading back to your accommodation in the afternoon.

Day 6: Transfer to Medan / Airport On the final day, we transfer you back to your hotel in Medan or Kualanamu Airport (KNO). The drive takes approximately 4–5 hours, marking the end of your Sumatra Paradise journey.
